SKRIBL – REFUNDS & RETURNS POLICY

SKRIBL creates personalised colouring books made uniquely from your uploaded photos. Because each book is custom-made, our return and refund rules differ from stores selling standard, non-custom products. Please read this policy carefully before placing your order.


1. PERSONALISED PRODUCTS – NO RETURNS OR CANCELLATIONS

All SKRIBL books are made-to-order and personalised using your images, text and design selections.
For this reason, we cannot accept returns, exchanges, or cancellations once production has started.

This includes situations where:

  • You change your mind

  • You selected the wrong images

  • You entered incorrect names or spelling

  • You are unhappy with artistic style, simplification, or interpretation

  • The final artwork does not match your expectation of the original photograph

Under UK law, personalised goods are exempt from the standard 14-day right to cancel.

By placing an order, you agree that your personalised book is non-refundable once production has begun.


2. IMAGE QUALITY & CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITY

You are responsible for uploading suitable, high-quality images that comply with our Photo Guidelines:

We cannot offer refunds for:

  • Low-resolution, dark, blurry, or pixelated photos

  • Poor results caused by unsuitable images

  • Issues arising from filtered or heavily edited photos

  • Missing or incorrect custom text entered during checkout

If an image is completely unusable, we may contact you for a replacement—however, we are not obligated to request new images.


3. PRODUCTION & SHIPPING TIMES

Production times are estimates and cannot be guaranteed:

  • Softback: 3–5 business days

  • Hardback: 7–14 business days

Shipping times vary by destination and courier.

We cannot refund orders due to delays caused by:

  • Print provider workload

  • Courier delays

  • Customs or international processing

  • Weather or unforeseen events outside our control


4. DAMAGED, DEFECTIVE OR INCORRECT ITEMS

If your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, we will replace it at no cost.
To qualify, you must notify us within 3 days of delivery.

Please email hello@skribl.co.uk with:

  1. Your order number

  2. A clear photo of the damaged or incorrect item

  3. A photo of the packaging (if damaged)

  4. A short description of the issue

We will investigate and arrange a reprint where appropriate.

We cannot issue refunds for damaged items, but we will replace them.


5. REPLACEMENTS ARE ISSUED WHEN:

  • Your book arrives with printing defects

  • Pages are missing or damaged in production

  • The wrong product was sent

  • The book was damaged in transit

  • SKRIBL made a clear error in printing your text or custom details


6. REPLACEMENTS ARE NOT ISSUED WHEN:

  • You dislike the artistic interpretation of your photo

  • The artwork does not perfectly match your expectations

  • The final book varies due to stylisation or simplification

  • You supplied poor-quality images

  • You uploaded images that do not meet our photo guidelines

  • You entered incorrect names, spellings or custom text

  • You selected the wrong front cover or did not specify one

  • You changed your mind after placing the order


7. NON-PERSONALISED ITEMS

If we offer non-custom items in the future (stickers, accessories, etc.), standard return rules will apply:

  • Returns accepted within 14 days

  • Item must be unused, unopened, and in original packaging

  • Refund is processed once the item is received back

Currently, SKRIBL sells only personalised items, which are non-refundable.


8. LOST PACKAGES

If a parcel is marked as delivered by the courier, we cannot issue a refund.
If the courier confirms a parcel is lost, we will arrange a replacement.

Lost parcel claims may require:

  • A written declaration

  • Confirmation from the courier

  • A short waiting period depending on region


9. ORDER ERRORS CAUSED BY CUSTOMER INPUT

We cannot refund or replace items for:

  • Incorrect spelling

  • Wrong colour/theme selections

  • Wrong quantity ordered

  • Uploading the wrong photos

  • Failure to specify a cover image
