OVERVIEW

Welcome to SKRIBL! The terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to SKRIBL. We operate this store and website, including all related information, content, features, tools, products and services (the “Services”). SKRIBL is powered by Shopify, which enables us to provide the Services to you.

These Terms of Service describe your rights and responsibilities when using the Services.
By accessing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy [https://skribl.co.uk/policies/privacy-policy]. 

SECTION 1 – PERSONALISED PRODUCTS

SKRIBL produces custom colouring books based on images supplied by you. By uploading images and placing an order, you agree that:

  1. You own or have permission to use every image you upload.

  2. Images must comply with our Photo Guidelines: https://skribl.co.uk/pages/photohelp

  3. Personalised products cannot be cancelled, refunded, or exchanged once production has started.

  4. You understand that artwork is an interpretation of your photos and not a replica.

  5. If you do not specify a front cover image, SKRIBL will select the most suitable image. This decision cannot be changed once production begins.

SECTION 2 – PRODUCTION TIMES

Production begins after your images and payment are successfully submitted.

Softback / Paperback: Estimated 3–5 business days + shipping
Hardback: Estimated 7–14 business days + shipping

Production times are estimates only and may vary. Once production begins, orders cannot be expedited or amended.

SECTION 3 – ARTWORK STYLE & LIMITATIONS

SKRIBL artwork is a stylised, simplified interpretation of your photos.
By ordering, you acknowledge:

  • Artwork is not a like-for-like clone of your photograph.

  • Elements may be simplified, adjusted, removed or artistically altered—including backgrounds, objects, clothing detail, patterns, text, and small features.

  • Names, fonts and layouts may be changed for clarity, composition, or print requirements.

  • Variations between the artwork and the original photo are expected and not considered defects.

SECTION 4 – IMAGE QUALITY & CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITY

You are responsible for:

  • Uploading high-quality, clear, well-lit images

  • Ensuring the correct order, spelling, names, text, and custom selections

  • Reviewing our Photo Guidelines at: https://skribl.co.uk/pages/photohelp

SKRIBL is not liable for suboptimal results caused by low-quality or unsuitable photos.

SECTION 5 – PROHIBITED UPLOAD CONTENT

You must not upload images containing:

  • Nudity or sexually explicit content

  • Hate symbols or extremist imagery

  • Graphic violence or harmful content

  • Illegal activities or contraband

  • Copyrighted or professional images you do not own

  • Individuals who have not consented to their use

  • Cartoon characters or protected IP

SKRIBL may delete or request replacement images at its discretion.

SECTION 6 – RIGHT TO REFUSE ORDERS

We may refuse, cancel, or request new images if:

  • Content violates legal or ethical standards

  • Images cannot be converted into line art

  • Files are corrupted, unusable, or incomplete

  • Content is inappropriate, unsafe, or offensive

  • The order breaches these Terms

If refusal occurs before production starts, you will receive a refund.

SECTION 7 – USE OF CUSTOMER IMAGES

By uploading images, you grant SKRIBL explicit permission to:

  • Produce your personalised artwork

  • Use the cartoon and colouring-page adaptations only for promotional purposes, including marketing, social media, website galleries, and advertising

Your original photos will NEVER be shown publicly.
Only the illustrated variants may be used.

You may revoke marketing permission anytime by contacting hello@skribl.co.uk.
This does not affect our right to use images for production, customer service, or quality control.

SECTION 8 – ACCESS AND ACCOUNT

To use the Services, you must provide accurate and complete information. You are responsible for your account security and any activity under your credentials.

SECTION 9 – OUR PRODUCTS

Colours and product appearance may vary based on your device. We do not guarantee that previews will match final printed results.

Products and descriptions may change without notice. We may limit quantities or discontinue items at our discretion.

SECTION 10 – ORDERS

Placing an order constitutes an offer to purchase. Orders are accepted once payment is processed and a confirmation is issued.

Due to the personalised nature of our products, cancellations may not be possible once production has begun.

All purchases are subject to our Refund Policy [LINK].

SECTION 11 – PRICES AND BILLING

Prices and promotions may change without notice. You agree to provide accurate billing information and authorise charges associated with your order.

SECTION 12 – SHIPPING AND DELIVERY

Shipping times are estimates and not guaranteed. SKRIBL is not responsible for courier delays, customs processing, or factors outside our control.

Risk transfers to you once the carrier accepts the package.

SECTION 13 – INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All SKRIBL artwork, branding, trademarks, and materials are protected intellectual property.
Unauthorised use is prohibited.

SECTION 14 – OPTIONAL TOOLS

We may provide access to third-party tools “as is” without warranties. Use is at your own risk.

SECTION 15 – THIRD-PARTY LINKS

We are not responsible for the content or practices of third-party websites you access through our Services.

SECTION 16 – RELATIONSHIP WITH SHOPIFY

Required by Shopify.
Your purchases are made directly with SKRIBL. Shopify is not responsible for any transactions or damages arising from your use of the Services.

SECTION 17 – PRIVACY POLICY

Personal data is processed according to our Privacy Policy [LINK] and Shopify’s Privacy Policy.
Your data may be transmitted internationally depending on hosting arrangements.

SECTION 18 – FEEDBACK

Any reviews, suggestions or ideas submitted become SKRIBL’s property under a perpetual, worldwide licence.
Original rights remain yours, but SKRIBL may use your Feedback freely.

SECTION 19 – ERRORS, INACCURACIES AND OMISSIONS

We may correct errors or inaccuracies at any time, even after an order has been placed.

SECTION 20 – PROHIBITED USES

You may not use the Services for harmful, illegal, or disruptive activities such as spamming, scraping, impersonation, or distributing malicious code.

SECTION 21 – TERMINATION

We may terminate your access at any time. Sections intended to survive termination will remain in effect.

SECTION 22 – DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES

The Services are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

SECTION 23 – LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

SKRIBL is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, including loss of profits, data, or usage, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

SECTION 24 – INDEMNIFICATION

You agree to indemnify SKRIBL and Shopify for claims arising from your breach of these Terms or unlawful use of the Services.

SECTION 25 – SEVERABILITY

Invalid provisions will be removed, and the remaining terms will remain in effect.

SECTION 26 – WAIVER; ENTIRE AGREEMENT

Failure to enforce a right does not constitute a waiver.
These Terms form the entire agreement between you and SKRIBL.

SECTION 27 – ASSIGNMENT

You may not assign your rights under these Terms. SKRIBL may transfer its rights without notice.

SECTION 28 – GOVERNING LAW

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Disputes will be handled exclusively in the courts of England and Wales.

SECTION 29 – HEADINGS

Headings are for convenience and do not affect interpretation.

SECTION 30 – CHANGES TO TERMS OF SERVICE

We may update these Terms by posting updates online.
Continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance of changes.
